I started this piece last summer. Finally framed. Always loved these cars and the colors. An 11" square assembled with over 1500 hand cut paper strips in a sliver 12.5" square frame.

Rainbow in Three
Rainbow in three squares. Thousands of paper strips. My little girl liked the colors so much they are proudly hanging in her room. Each swuare is 12" and assembled using over 1500 hand-cut paper strips.
SOLD: 15 individual 10" squares. That makes approximately 4.5 feet by 3 feet when hung. Each square was assembled using about 1000 strips of hand cut paper and finished is a brushed metal square frame.

We are spoiled with plenty of clear and calm days in Los Angeles. It's a different world from my life back in Ireland. These panels were inspired by the dominant late afternoon palette I experience most days.

Each panel is held within a black frame with black matting. The paper is exposed giving a dramatic three dimensional effect that showcases the texture of the paper.
Despite the weather in Ireland we seemed to spend our youth in the garden or up in the trees. This piece reminds me of those days. 1000's of hand-cut paper strips have been assembled into this 12" square and placed into a 20" white frame.

So much texture! This 9.5" square piece is was assembled using thousands of hand cut paper strips. Each strip was then cut again to provide additional texture. this convex piece really jumps.

I love a drop of the black stuff whenever it promises to be a good pint. I don't get home to Ireland much these days but when I do this is one of the things I look forward to.
