About
How it all started
Over ten years ago I purchased a ream of multi-colored cardstock from a craft store with the intention of making some sort of collage. After many failed attempts I dismissed the collage idea but became fascinated with the multi-colored layers presented when looking at the paper stacks side-on.
After some cutting, some assembly and some gluing I quickly saw the potential. I spend some time working on a process to cut paper, secure the finished piece and present in a frame. The process as with the art is in a constant state of evolution.
Married to the wonderful Wesley who gives me room to explore all the tangents. Together we are amazed and delighted on a daily basis with our beautiful daughters who provide endless inspiration and occassional assitance.
Originally from Galway on the wild west coast of Ireland, I now live in Los Angeles. My friends would say I'm the last person to have a creative artistic side but I've been a non-practicing artist all my life. It has me taken a long time to share my work. I hope you enjoy it!

“This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. Being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it what I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”
